Summer Road Trip - Sixth Destination - Quebec City / by Ted Kaiser

Having family connections in the Atlantic provinces through my wife has resulted in family trips through Quebec City a few times in the past 25 years or so. However, I have never stopped in Quebec City to explore and experience what the city has to offer. That changed in summer of 2018 after we decided to spend 2 nights and parts of 3 days in Quebec City. I was so glad we decided to make a longer visit, though by the end, it was feeling far too short. The history, architecture, culture and geography make Quebec City one of the most beautiful places to spend some time off. Our highlights included a night time ferry trip to Lévis and back - amazing views of the city lit up at night at any time, and we were lucky there was the Festivale d’été de Québec happening and a concert that evening in the Plains of Abraham lit up the night sky. We also enjoyed amazing dining in the quartier Vieux-port on rue St-Paul, visiting le parc de la Chute-Montmorency, more incredible dining at le Moulin de Saint-Laurent on Ile d’Orleans, and so much more. We will definitely be back as soon as possible!
